  • Range & Battery Safety Upgrades

    The standard battery is a 48V, 14 Ah (≈ 672 Wh) pack, semi-integrated and secured with a key, giving riders somewhere between 20 to 60+ miles of range depending on load, terrain, and assist level. For users wanting extended travel, there’s an optional Range Extender battery that installs under the rear rack to push that range beyond 120 miles. The battery also features Rad’s Safe Shield technology, which encapsulates cells in a material designed to improve thermal stability and durability.

  • Power, Speed, & Drive Feel

    The RadRunner Max is built around a 750W rear-hub motor that delivers about 90 Nm of torque, enabling strong hill climbing and the ability to haul heavy loads without excessive strain. It includes a torque sensor plus new RideLogic tuning, which smooths out power delivery so acceleration feels more car-like — responsive but controlled. A twist throttle is available too, and the Max offers a 28 mph max in Class 3 mode (with the option to restrict speed for local compliance).

  • Visibility & Smart Features

    A standout feature is the rear-facing radar, built into the taillight, which detects vehicles up to ~100 meters (≈ 330 feet) behind you. The display shows visual warnings, and the taillight will flash to alert both you and drivers of approaching traffic — enhancing situational awareness. The lighting system also includes a dual-mode headlight (high/low beam) with an ambient light sensor, plus rear turn signals for communicating intentions clearly.
