Tune Ups
A tune-up refers to the regular maintenance your bike needs to remain in good working condition. It involves a thorough safety assessment, preventative maintenance, fixing any issues that might have arisen, and replacing any parts that might stop your bike from operating safely. A good way to think about a tuneup is as the work your bike needs to return to optimal operating condition, as if it were a brand new, well-adjusted bike. This is a scheduled service and we generally turn tune-ups around same day. Tuneups can also be completed via our mobile repair service.
BRAKE REPAIR
All bikes, especially ebikes, need good quality functioning brakes to ensure your safety while riding. Of course you want to be able to come to a full stop quickly and without effort, however servicing your brakes at regular mileage intervals also ensures that your brake system won’t be damaged by improper care. We offer a range of brake services from adjustments, to pad replacement, hydraulic bleeds, brake system installation/replacements, and upgrades. Adjustments and pad replacements are welcome for walk-ins. Bleeds, installation/replacements, and upgrades must be scheduled. These service typically receive instant or same-day turnaround. All these services can be scheduled for mobile repair.
TRACKER INSTALLATION
The popularity of ebikes has made them increasingly more attractive to bike thieves. We will always be here to help you understand the best ways to secure your bike (how to lock it, the best locks to use, where to lock it). However sometimes even when you do everything right, you bike can still be stolen. If that happens, your ability to recover it could come down to having a tracker installed on the bike. Trackers use either GPS or systems like Apple FindMy to relay the location of your bike which you can give to the police to help recover your bike. We sell trackers that you can install yourself. We also offer a tracker installation service which will install a tracker in a place that thieves can’t easily detect or access. This service must be scheduled and can only be performed at our store. We can pick-up and drop off your bike for this service with our mobile repair van.
WARRANTY REPAIR
Ebikes have come a long way over the years. They are more reliable than ever. However, sometimes parts fail due to manufacturer defect. If you are within your warranty period when that happens, you are entitled to have those parts replaced at the expense of the manufacturer. We can make that process as simple as possible. If your bike brand is in our network, we will take care of everything for you - from communication, to securing the parts, to replacing them. Contact us by phone or email to start that process.
TIRE LINER INSTALLATION
If you would like to eliminate 99% of flats, tire around is a great flat prevention tool. Essentially the way it works is by replacing the tube inside your tire with foam armor and a smaller tube. The armor sits on the walls of the tire and is usually about an inch thick or more. After the layer of armor a smaller tube goes in to provide sufficient fire pressure. Screws, glass, nails, staples, thorns: they are no longer an issue. This is a device that must be scheduled and can only be performed at our store. However, we can pick up and drop off you bike for this service using our mobile repair van.
ASSEMBLY & SHIPPING
If you have a bike that needs to be put together, we are happy to help. We can perform that service for all kinds of bikes. Ebikes, non-electric, cargo bikes, bucket bikes: we can do it all. We can also pack up your bike and help you to ship it if needed. We have appropriate materials and boxes to pack everything up and ensure your bike makes it to its destination as safely as possible. Assembly is available in store of via mobile repair. Boxing & Shipping is only available as an in-store service. However, our mobile repair van can pick up your bike to take it to the store and return it if needed.
Diagnostics
If you have an ebike that has an electrical error, we can help. We work with about 60 different brands directly for warranty support. Just set up an appointment in store or via our mobile repair, and we will figure out what is wrong. If your bike brand is not in our network, we can still help, just contact us first and we will tell you what to do to start the process.
FLAT FIXES
Getting a flat tire is simply the worst. Nothing quite compares to riding along and having your tire deflate or pop. While we can’t prevent every flat out there, we can help you get back on the road. Our shop welcomes flat repairs for all bike types and tire sizes. This service is available as a walk-in service. We generally repair flats immediately. You can also schedule our mobile repair service which can fix your flat on-site and on-demand.
